"This abandoned house is around the corner from our house in Watermill, NY. The mystery of it has fascinated me for the past 20 years. I want to know who owns it. Why is it still there? Why hasn’t someone come along to buy the property? Every few years someone comes in and cuts all of the vegetation away and the lush overgrowth begins anew. If it were in the middle of nowhere, I could make sense of it, but it has neighbors across the street and next door on one side and I wonder what they must think or, maybe, they know it’s history already....looks like it’s time for me to do some detective work on this place!"- Pia Ledy
